Emergency Medical Services Vermont Department of Health Requirements 

Vermont licensees must renew every 2 years. Beginning July 1, 2015, Vermont modeled the requirements for continuing education after the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians’ (NREMT) National Continued Competency Program (NCCP). EMTs and paramedics recertifying must complete hours that meet the NREMT requirements as well as State and Local hour requirements. 18 V.S.A.§906(10)(F). National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) to maintain NREMT certification and Vermont state licenses.

Requirements for Paramedics:
