What is Army COOL?

Army Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) is a website that provides information to Soldiers of all ranks about credentials related to their jobs including certifications, licenses, and apprenticeships.

  • Provides background information about civilian certifications, licensure, examinations, and apprenticeships to include credential requirements and preparation resources.

  • Specifies credentials relevant to Army MOSs.

  • Identifies gaps between Army training and experience and civilian credentialing requirements and ways to bridge those gaps.

  • Provides information on resources available to Soldiers to facilitate credentialing.

What is AF COOL?

The Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (AF COOL) program provides opportunities for enlisted members of the Air Force and Space Force to earn industry recognized professional credentials and licenses. The program is part of the Air Force Virtual Education Center.

What is MyCAA?

The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance to eligible military spouses for the pursuit or maintenance (including continuing education courses) of a license, certification, or associate’s degree necessary to gain employment in an occupation or career field.

  • The scholarship assists military spouses in pursuit or maintenance of a license, certification or associate degree necessary to gainemployment in an occupation or career field.

  • Military spouses may use their scholarship at any approved institution to receive assistance with the costs of national tests for course creditsrequired for a degree approved under the program (including the College Level Examination Program tests).
