North Dakota Division of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Requirements

North Dakota licenses expire ever 2 years. All licenses expire June 30th. 33-36-01-03(1)(g).

North Dakota licenses are required to use the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model. For licensees recertifying prior to 2019 the 2016 NCCP or 2012 content maybe used. For licensees recertifying in 2019 or after must use the 2016 NCCP content.

Requirements for Paramedics:

Requirements for Advanced EMTs and NREMT-I/85:

50 hours of continuing education every two years for those using the 2012 NCCP model. 50 hours of continuing education every two years for those using the 2016 NCCP model 33-36-01-03(4)(h). Distance CME recomends this program Refresher


Requirements for EMTs:

40 hours of continuing education every two years for those using the 2012 NCCP model. 40 hours of continuing education every two years for those using the 2016 NCCP model. 33-36-01-03 (1)(h)(2). Distance CME recomends this program Refresher
