In this unprecedented time, states and the NREMT are trying to update policies to keep us safe while retaining the levels of education and certification. Please check with your state to ensure you have the most up-to-date requirements.

Requirements for Paramedics:

State of Florida License Only: 30 hours of continuing education every two years.  Of the 30 hours two hours must be related to pediatric emergencies.  FAC 64J-1.009. DistanceCME recommends this program ALS NCCP

Florida National Registry:  To meet the NREMT’s requirements of 60 hours plus all Florida’s requirements including pediatric emergencies DistanceCME recommends this program  ALS NCCP + Anytime


Requirements for EMTs:

State of Florida License Only: 30 hours of continuing education every two years.  Of the 30 hours two hours must be related to pediatric emergencies.  FAC 64J-1.008. DistanceCME recommends this program BLS NCCP + Anytime

Florida National Registry:  To meet the NREMT’s requirements of 40 hours plus all Florida’s requirements including pediatric emergencies DistanceCME recommends this program  BLS NCCP + Anytime
