District of Columbia Department of Health, Emergency Medical Services Requirements

  • Emergency medical service provider certificates must be renewed every two (2) years by June 30. DCMR 515.13

  • Emergency medical responder provider certificates must be renewed every two (2) years by December 31. DCMR 515.14

  • EMS providers in the District of Columbia must maintain a valid NREMT certification card at the same or greater provider level as his or her DC certification. DCMR 515.16.
