• Explores the physiology of breathing, indications for ventilatory support, and the core components of modern ventilator systems.
• Covers ventilator modes, settings, and monitoring, along with strategies to optimize oxygenation and ventilation in diverse patient populations.
• Special attention is given to troubleshooting common problems, recognizing patient–ventilator asynchrony, and understanding how underlying pathophysiology influences ventilator management.
Designed for EMS providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, this program blends evidence-based theory with real-world scenarios to build confidence and competence in initiating, adjusting, and managing mechanical ventilation. By the end of the course, learners will have a strong foundation to support safe and effective ventilator use in both prehospital and hospital environments.
