About Matthew Olthoff
Matt began his EMS career in the United States Marine Corps as a Hospital Corpsman / EMT. After leaving the military, he became a paramedic firefighter serving in cities throughout Texas and recently NE Kansas. As a long time CISM proponent and instructor, he transitioned his interests with a BS in Rehabilitation and Emergency Management. He earned an MS in Education with a research interest in building holistic wellness in communities and resilience. He has been serving the Public Safety community for 30 years and continues to teach, advocate, and mentor communities in NE Kansas. He is a doting husband and dad, loves Jeeps, and watching Cats baseball.
