Arkansas Department of Health, Emergency Medical Services Requirements

  • Although we strive to keep everything updated, please check with your state EMS Representative for the most current re-certification information.

  • Arkansas licensees must renew every 2 years by March 31st in the stated year of their expiration.  For complete requirements, review the Arkansas Board of Health, EMS Renewal Requirement.

    • Arkansas now requires documentation of NREMT renewal in order to process your state license renewal.
    • Licensees who were never certified through the NREMT and have been acknowledged as a state-licensed only provider by the Section of EMS, must upload documentation of all required continuing education hours to their Public Portal account.
