This self-paced course provides EMS professionals with an in-depth understanding of pediatric lifespan development, anatomy, physiology, and patient assessment.

  • Explores physiological and psychosocial milestones of neonates, infants, toddlers, school-age children, and adolescents
    Examines unique characteristics of pediatric anatomy and physiology
  • Review of airway structure, respiratory function, cardiovascular differences, and neurological development.
  • Emphasizes best practices in pediatric assessment and use of the Pediatric Assessment Triangle (PAT)
  • Reviews hands-on physical examination techniques, and strategies for identifying critical conditions such as respiratory distress, shock, and neurovascular compromise.
