Man Allegedly Steals Ambulance in Dallas, TX.
Someone please explain something to me; how in blue heck in this day and age does someone steal an ambulance? How many times do we have to be told to secure our ambulance? This past Tuesday a man in Dallas, Texas reportedly took an ambulance from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at 2130 hrs. and then proceeded to drive around town until he was spotted at a convenience store in in Farmers Branch at 0230 hrs. fleeing and then crashing the ambulance into a tree. Before being caught the suspect also reportedly visited a couple of adult oriented bookstores. Let’s just pretend he was looking for a Barnes & Noble so he could preorder the new Harry Potter. Can you imagine the how the conversation went down between the crew and management? The suspect has been charged with “unauthorized us of a motor vehicle”.
Seriously folks, this is not a something to be taken lightly. We have to secure our ambulances every time, even at the hospital. Imagine the damage that could have been done over the 5 hours the suspect had the ambulance.
